Campesina, where he enjoyed life as a young boy and teenager. As a young adult, he made the bold decision to move to the United States in aspiration of greater opportunities. After settling in Houston, he met Diana and the inseparable pair were married on April 8, 1979. He was blessed when his children were born, and was happy that he got his pair, a girl and a boy. Mario had an undeniable strong work ethic, taking great pride in all his occupations in an effort to provide for his family. Well known for his passion for all things cars, Mario enjoyed driving, attending auto shows, watching car and truck restoration programs, and was proud of his ever-growing collection of Hot Wheels.
