Mom & Dad were married in San Antonio in 1954. They began their lives in San Antonio, and moved around Texas, settling in Houston in 1964. They had four children whom they adored.

She obtained her private and commercial license to fly airplanes, and joined the Ninety Nines, a women’s flying group. During this phase in her life she flew the Powder Puff Derby from Houston to Calgary and back. She loved people and it was natural she went to work for her two older sons, Carl & Kurt in their endeavors, and loved nothing more than helping people decorate their new kitchens, and bathrooms. She just loved being around her kids and cats.
After dad died, her youngest son moved back to Houston, and she had fun sharing her home with Eric, watching TV, discussing politics, as she was a staunch Democrat, and loving her pussy cats. Her daughter, Holly, was her best friend and they shared many an adventure and in later years enjoyed Sundays just being together.
