Maricela was born in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, on January 4, 1951 to Humberto Maldonado and Maria Maldonado.
Maricela was mother to, Jorge Landa, Juan Landa and Maricela Galindo.
She raised her children with love and devotion in Houston, Texas.
She worked hard for several years at Fiesta Grocery Store until her health declined and she no longer could work.
Maricela had a green thumb and loved planting plants and taking care of them. She loved to exercise, lifting weights or walking the mall or going to the park.
Maricela lived with her husband Manuel Bernal who was devoted to her day and night helping with her medications and anything she needed. They have been together for 23 years.
Maricela had this friendliness ab out her that she made friends everywhere she went. Maricela had a special laugh that was so unique that could be heard a mile away.
She is survived by her grandchildren; Juan Landa Jr., Joshua Landa, Joseph Landa, Desiree Landa, Destiny Landa, Jackeline Landa, Stephanie Landa, Alberto Lopez, Jennifer Galindo, Arturo Galindo III, and Julie Galindo; great-grandchildren Nayeli Landa Gamez and Mayah Landa Santana.
She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother and friend.
