Mariano Pavia

Mariano Pavia, Jr. 80 of Pasadena, Texas was a quiet, reserved man who enjoyed watching old western movies, listening to trios, do wop music and salsa music. He was an avid sports fan catching all the games of his favorite football team the Philadelphia Eagles when he could. He was born in Puerto Rico on August 8, 1943 and passed away on Tuesday, October 10,2023 in Pasadena, Texas.

Mariano is survived by his children, Andre Gonzales and wife, Veronica; Mario Pavia and wife, Ladoska; Yvette Pavlock and husband, BJ; Lisette Pavia; and Michael Pavia and wife, Francisca; sisters, Livia Barrow, Aurea Mellon, Sarita Pavia and Adrian Pavia; grandchildren, Andre Gonzales, Jr.; Alexander Gonzales, Savanna Gee, Izayah Mendenhall, Jaelyn Pavia, Brooklyn Pavia, Elias Pavia, Jennifer Pavlock, Nicholas Pavlock, Madilyn Pavlock, Julian Pavlock, Zachary Prieto and Sierra Smith, along with Carly Rose Pavia; and also great-grandchildren, Avery Pavlock and Savannah Fuentes.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Minerva Pavia whom passed away in 2019. His parents Mariano and Juanita Pavia and his sisters Noemi Amaya and Millie Pavia.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2023 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary prayer service beginning at 7:00pm and funeral services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, September 18, 2023 all at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Funeral Home, 4136 Broadway, Houston, Texas 77087
