Mariah Rena McClay

Mariah Rena McClay "Meke" was born on February 14, 2006. Jon and Shanielle her parents were blessed to call her daughter. In spite of her infirmities, Mariah was an exceptional student who soared to excel. She attended pre-school at Kujawa School. Her elementary studies were at Harvestime Christian Academy along with home schooling. She taught herself on Starfall.com. Being a generous child, she gave her best and even shared by giving away from her arsenal of new toys. Mariah had a radiant smile and her presence lit up a room. On many occasions, Mariah was healed and God brought her home. This time she went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. She is absent from the body but present with the Lord. Mariah's journey lives on. To share in her great memories are her parents Jon and Shanielle; her sisters Jamie and Davinesha; brothers David, Jon and Jourden; her maternal grandparents Ruby and Calvin and paternal grandparents Charles and Emelda; her godparents Anthony and Kemala and Rusty and Tameka; her aunts Sherry, Shelia, Patricia, Tyaywana, Tyneesha, Qiana, Jenita and Ericka; her uncles Eugene, Alfred, Claude, Christopher, Charles and Mike; a host of loving cousins, great cousins, great aunts, uncles, devoted friends and fellow Houstonians. Mariah's journey will never end. She is saved, pain-free and journeying with Jesus now. She lives on... Mariah was an adorable beloved child. Her warmth and vibrant spirit touched the lives of those who knew her. She was a very devoted daughter and sister, a wonderful cousin, niece and friend to many. In her short span on earth she learned the love of Jesus. At Camp Noah she learned her favorite song "I Need You, You Need Me, we are all a part of God's Body." We will honor her legacy of love by interceding for the hope, healing and cure of others battling with childhood cancer.
