Maria A Valdez

Maria A. Valdez, 86, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in Houston, Texas. She was born May 1, 1931 in Shepard, Texas to Manuel and Maria Marroquin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria Marroquin; her husband, Tirzo H. Valdez, Sr.; two sons, Johnny Valdez, Carlos Valdez; daughter, Helen Alvarado. Maria is survived by her loving and devoted children, Tirzo M. Valdez and wife Alice, Hovita Valdez and husband Hector, Gloria Solis, Belinda Ortiz and husband Johnny, Rosemary Moreno and husband Pete, Esther Sanchez, Dalia Galvan and husband Jasso, and Velma Valdez; 31 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, family and friends. The family will receive on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 5-9 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church 9217 E. Ave L, Houston, Texas. Interment will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 9 AM at Houston National Cemetery.
