Maria Isabel Moreno Schaus

A memorial service will be officiated by Monsignor Rossi on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church (1801 Sage Road, Houston, TX 77056).

Mrs. Schaus was born April 17, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland, to Ignacio and Lucia Moreno. Maria grew up in Bogota, Colombia until she married Armand Schaus and moved to Houston. She was an active member of St. Michael’s and St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Church where she devoted much of her time and energy caring for the less fortunate. Her faith, generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to her family and all those whose life she touched. In addition to supporting many charities she sponsored two children (US and Colombia) through Children International since 1984. Her interests included family, gardening, sewing and reading.
