Maria Altagracia Olivares Hernandez

Maria Altagracia Olivares Hernandez, aged 67, passed away on July 2, 2024 in Houston, Texas. She was born on the 15th of September, 1956 in Rio Bravo Tamaulipas to Jose Miguel Olivares and Maria Guadalupe Olivares Gomez. She passed away peacefully after a courageous health battle.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Angel Hernandez Navarro. She leaves behind her three children: Angel Hernandez, Miguel Antonio Hernandez and Daniel Hernandez.

Maria was the eldest of seven. She is survived by her six siblings: four brothers, Carlos (Elvira), Jose Guadalupe (Elizabeth), Jorge Antonio and Guadalupe (Kristi) and her two sisters Dora Alicia Saenz (Hector) and Yolanda Olivares, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Maria will be missed by everyone who knew her as she made a lasting impression full of love and laughter. Always a strong worker, Maria loved working in the care of children and caring for the elderly. She also loved dancing and doing gardening work in her free time. Maria was one of a kind who would make friends everywhere she went, whether it was at the grocery store, bus stop or by just simply being herself, her energy was that contagious. She will be extremely missed as she leaves a big void in everyone's hearts. She valued her three sons above all else and often spent quality time with those she loved. She lived life to the fullest and fought hard until the end.

Visitation for Maria Altagracia Olivares Hernandez will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Navigation, located at 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, Texas 77003. A Vigil Service will be held Saturday evening at 5:30pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Navigation. Officiating the vigil service will be Deacon Will Hunter. Cremation to follow. All services under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Navigation.
