

Maria DeLoSantos Hysquierdo, 59, of Seabrook, Texas, passed on December 28, 2020. Maria was born to Ovidio and Martha Gonzalez on February 5th 1961, in Houston, Texas where she was raised with her eight siblings. She graduated from Houston Technical Institute High School in 1979. Maria and Alfred Hysquierdo were married at Annunciation Church on December 13th 1980, and they lived in Houston together for eleven years. They would later move to Seabrook, where they raised their six children.
Maria is survived by her husband, Alfred, and her children, Marie Zito (Nathan), Jonathan, Jesse, Bianca Hye-Knudsen (Evan), Erica, and Celeste. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings: Dr. Lupy Gonzalez-Garcia, Janie Cueto, Gloria Gonzalez, Maria Olguin, Jesse Gonzalez, Maria Moralez, and Esmeralda Hernandez. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Alexis, Elena, Liam, and Brantley Zito. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ovidio Gonzalez Jr. and her parents, Ovidio and Martha Gonzalez.
Maria worked as an Insurance coordinator for Clear Point Dentistry for approximately thirty years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and entertaining other family and friends who were very fond of her cooking. She was extremely talented in making crafts, also loved decorating, antiquing, and visiting Galveston for an annual beach home vacation with her family. Most of all, she enjoyed all of her family, especially her four grandchildren.
A viewing will be on Thursday January 7, 2021 at Forest Park Lawndale 6900 Lawndale St. from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer at 7:00 p.m. A Requiem Mass by Fr. Tony will take place at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 816 Park Dr. LaPorte, Tx. A funeral procession escorted by officers of Harris Cty. Constable Pct. 6 will follow after Mass to Forest Park Lawndale cemetery. Participating in the procession is not mandatory, but recommended. Due to safety concerns, a traditional reception will not follow after the interment.
Also due to safety concerns, the Grand Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale capacity is limited to 100 persons, so the family asks that guests allow others to enter provided capacity is reached. Capacity at St. Mary’s is 80 persons.
Maria’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all family and friends for their diligent praying, love, and support, which were all key in Maria’s and their ability to endure this most difficult time.
