Maria Remedios Gonzales

Maria "Ana" Remedios Gonzales, 66, fought a strong courageous battle with Glioblastoma, fighting until her last breath alongside her family on May 3, 2017. Born in Mexico on September 1, 1950 to Jose Guadalupe Piña and Maria Mora. Maria was preceded in death by the love of her life Vincent Gonzales.

Maria is survived by: Daughter Erica Gonzales-Cortez and husband Andre, Daughter Diane Gonzales-Morales and husband Juan; Sisters Mrs. Maria Reyes Campos (spouse Juan) and Esthela Mendoza (spouse Asiano); Sister-in-law Linda Contreras (spouse Guadalupe), Jesse Gonzales (spouse Armida) and Larry Gonzales; Numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren; Grandchildren, Alexis, Aubrey and Aleena Morales. Her life was full of love, courage, strength and laughter.

Visitation Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Texas 77039. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 6622 Haskel Houston, Texas 77007 with viewing at 10:00 a.m. Mass following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Brookside Funeral Memorial Park.
