Maria Guadalupe Garcia

Maria Guadalupe Garcia, age 83, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018. Maria was born December 12, 1934. Maria spent her life caring for her husband, children and family. She was a Christian woman who loved the Lord with her whole heart.

Maria is survived by her children and their spouses, Gilbert Garcia, Belinda Garza, Elvia Alonzo, Oscar Garcia, Graciela Garcia, Ricardo Garcia and wife Ana, Rudy Garcia, Gloria Torres and husband Emidio, Juan Garcia, Jesse Garcia, grandchildren, Aurelio Alonzo Jr., David Garcia, Jacob Garza, Isaac Ipiña, Melissa Gaviña, Priscilla Alonzo, Tiffany Alfaro, Richard Garcia, Chelsea Garcia, Suzanne Alonzo, Andrew Alonzo and Emilio Torres and great-grandchildren, Natalie Alonzo, Aurelio L. Alonzo III, Gabriel Garza, Michael Garza, Samarah Ipiña, Arthur E. Alonzo, Alayna Alfaro, Ariana Alfaro, Zakarya Sekkat and Melanie Rose Gaviña.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Gilberto Garcia and her parents.

A visitation for Maria will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home-Grand Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039 with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home- Grand Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039 with a committal service will follow immediately at Houston Memorial Gardens, 2426 Cullen Boulevard, Pearland, TX 77581.
