Maria de Jesus Espinoza

María De Jesús Espinoza, 95, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great-great grandmother passed away at her home on April 3, 2024. She was born June 1, 1928, in El Blanco, SLP, México to Pedro and Maximiana García. She was a homemaker who took care of her family and those who came to her door needing a helping hand. Helping those in need was a trait she inherited from her parents.

She enjoyed knitting, playing lotería, working on her daily word find puzzles, and spending time with her family who lovingly called her Amá. María devoutly read her Bible every morning and evening. She loved watching the drama play out on her favorite talk shows and Mexican soap operas. Much to the annoyance of her husband, María’s Saturdays were dedicated to watching Sábado Gigante’s Don Francisco.

María is survived by her children, Martha Ríos; Raúl Espinosa and wife, Lidia; Adela Molina; and Maricela Molina and husband, Leonardo; 10 grandchildren, Angela, Jennifer, William, Yesenia, Mark, Melissa, Juan, Jr., Jesús, Michael and Rebecca; 21 great-grandchildren, Joaquin, Andrew, Brittany, Victoria, Sofia, Savannah, Joseph, Ashley, Ayden, Héctor, Jr., Leena, Laurie, Leylah, Juan, III, Sebastian, Dominic, Cameron, Kayden, Khloé, Mikayla and Mia; 8 great-great grandchildren Emma, Madeleine, Cesar, Noah, Amelia, Elena, Olivia, and Ronan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesús Espinoza who passed away in 1995; 2 daughters, Teodora and María Alicia and 2 sons, José Luis and Guilibaldo; son-in-law Juan Molina, Sr.; granddaughter, Isabel Molina; 5 brothers, Francisco, Mariano, Rafael, Nabor and Aristeo García and 3 sisters, Juana García, Eustacia Morales and Maria Soto.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Ríos, Juan Molina Jr., Jesus Ríos, Michael Molina, Héctor Molina, Jr., and Dominic Ríos.

A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A graveside will occur Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3601-3611 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78573.
