Maria Elida Elizondo, age 94, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Elida was born August 23, 1928 in Mercedes, Texas. Elida enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. She loved gardening and her canaries and also spent her free time sewing and quilting. Elida is preceded in death by her husband Jose Vela Elizondo and son Rogelio B. Elizondo. She is survived by her 6 children, Juan Jose Elizondo, Maricela Elizondo, Rolando Elizondo, Yolanda Elizondo, Marta Elizondo and Arnold Elizondo along with her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Elida will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
