Maria C. Cruz went to be with her Lord on December 9, 2016. She was born on May 3, 1938 in Mexico to parents Ruben Cruz and Concepcion Nunez Baltazar. Maria was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Isabel Cruz, Carmela Cruz, Agapita Cruz, Pedro Cruz, Felipe Cruz and Alejandra Cruz. She is survived by her two children, Maria Cadena, Leonardo Espin and wife Francisca; five grandchildren, Anahi Cadena, Mayra Cadena, Patrick Cadena and wife Olha Seniw-Cadena, Edith Espin, Felipe Serna; two great grandchildren, Giovannie Cadena, Leilani Cadena, six siblings, Fortunata Cruz, Anaxaria Cruz, Alfonso Cruz, Felipa Cruz, Luis Cruz, Eloisa Cruz, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary at 7:00 PM, and a funeral service Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
