Maria "Mariela" Ana Bahena

It is with great sadness that Maria Ana Bahena, also known as “Mariela,” passed away, with family by her side, on March 29, 2020, at the age of 49, after a long and difficult battle with breast cancer.

Mariela was born in Zacatecas, Mexico to J. Guadalupe Flores Torres and Margarita Flores Marquez. Mariela was a faithful Catholic, who dedicated her life to her husband, children, the Lord and the Church. She took to heart the commandment, to love the Lord with your entire being and to love your neighbor as yourself.

Mariela throughout her life was a very courageous and strong woman. Even when dealing with breast cancer in her later years, she always kept a positive attitude and devout faith in the Lord. Mariela was also very friendly towards everyone, with a smile on her face and had many friends from church and work.

During her battle with breast cancer, Mariela had many friends and family members supporting her in anyway that they could. She was never alone in her battle because of her strong support and trust in God.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Armando Bahena, her three children, Erick Bahena, Armando Bahena Jr., and Edith Bahena.

A Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated at a later date due to the restrictions we are now experiencing due to the Coronavirus. We will notify family and friends when the celebration of Mariela’s life will take place and we can celebrate the Mass that she desires even now in Heaven.
