Margaret Ann Vala Migl, 68, of Houston, Texas, went to Heaven on Sunday, March 18, 2018 surrounded by her family after a long struggle with heart complications.
Born on August 26, 1949 in Houston, Texas to her Czech parents Annie (Zubicek) and Emil Vala, Margaret attended Fannin Elementary, Lanier Middle School, and San Jacinto High School.
She met Leroy, the love of her life, at a dance at SPJST Lodge 88, Houston and they were married on June 22, 1968 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and had twin daughters. She made sure they were provided with the best academic opportunities sending them to Saint Anne Catholic School and Saint Agnes Academy.
Margaret was an insurance agent for many years and was a member of the Insurance Women of Texas until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to polka music, taking casino trips, playing bingo and board games, and seeing her two grandsons participate in their favorite school and sports activities. They were her pride and joy and she was their biggest fan. She was a lifelong member of SPJST Lodge 88, Houston where she was a member of the Birthday Club Sisters.
She loved her family and was proud of her Czech heritage. Any room Margaret was in was always full of laughter and love. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh.
Preceded in death by her parents and sister Helen Pavlas.
Survived by husband Leroy Migl, twin daughters Marlene Migl Satterwhite and Darlene Migl Polly, sons-in-law Stephen Satterwhite and Mark Polly, grandchildren Nathan Polly and Jered Polly, sisters Mildred Holden and Frances Vala, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In lieu of the usual remembrances, the family requests that any gifts be in the form of a donation to the American Heart Association and/or the American Stroke Association in her honor.
