Margaret Mary Silman, of Seabrook, Texas, was born in Houston on the 20th of April 1947, and passed away on Friday, the 23rd of December 2022, at Country Living of Lyons, Kansas. She was 75 years of age.
The daughter of John Ralph Mulvey and Margaret Margie (Bogar) Mulvey, Margaret graduated from St. Agnes High School in Houston, and attended the University of Houston.
On the 28th of January 1967, she married James Benjamin “Chico” Silman, also of Houston. Margaret was a military spouse who proudly served in that role.
She loved gardening, the sound of waves and talking. Most importantly, she loved the Lord and served him wherever her travels took her. She was a wonderful spouse, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and nothing made her happier than when the house was full.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Chico” Silman of Houston; her parents, John Ralph Mulvey and Margaret Margie Mulvey of Houston. Margaret is survived by her two children, James Benjamin Silman III and fiance Lanette Renae Surface of Sterling, Kansas, and Patrick Christopher Silman of Coppell, Texas. Her four grandchildren, Jude Christopher Silman and Emma Michelle Silman of Coppel, Texas, and Jaiden Paige Jaeger and Eli Craig Jaeger of Sterling, Kansas, two brothers, John Ralph “Jay” Mulvey of Houston, and Patrick Bogar “Pat” Mulvey of Houston.
A mass of Christian burial is to be offered at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 31st of January, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, where the Father Peter Wood, Parochial Vicar, will serve as celebrant.
The Rite of Committal will immediately follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
