Margaret Jane Hart

Margaret Jane Hart, aka; Bobby Jane, BJ, The Shawnee Kid, 80, passed away on April 18, 2021. She was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on May 9, 1940 to mother, Laura Calista Peacock Garrett (D 6/3/58) and father, Jack Edward Critchlow Sr. (D 2/7/2001).

She enjoyed being a Cheerleader. At age of 16, she married her High School sweetheart, Billy Joe Merritt on 9/8/1956. Margaret stayed home for the first year and a half of her marriage, taking care of her mother who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had three Sons, Billy Joe Merritt Jr. 4/4/57, Bruce Edward Merritt 8/27/60 & Brian Cannon Merritt 2/13/65. She Divorced Bill Merritt and Married Ronald G. Hart on 11/29/80.

Margaret had a ninth grade education but later earned her GED. She had no Military service; however, she was married for the first 4 years to an Active Duty Air Force Police Officer. She was a sales clerk at Palais Royal in Shreveport, Louisiana; a printer at International Business Forms in Little Rock Arkansas, a printer at Crumm Business Forms in Dallas Texas, and worked at Texas Instruments making Transistors. She also was a school bus driver for Klein ISD and was President of Professional Journeyman Splicers LLC. Margaret had memberships with the NRA, AARP and TRSA. Her hobbies and interests included Cheerleader, Belly Dancer & Skeet Shooting.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Calista Peacock Garrett (D 6/3/58) and father, Jack Edward Critchlow Sr. (D 2/7/2001); Son, Brian Cannon Merritt (D 11/14/18). She is survived by her husband, Ronald G. Hart; Sons, Billy Joe Merritt Jr. and Bruce Edward Merritt; grandchildren, James Alan Wodahl, Bradley Joseph Merritt, Randle Wayne Merritt, Bruce James Merritt, Christopher Allyn Avery Merritt, Robert James Merritt, Jennifer Irene Dearing, Caleb Christopher Merritt, Mark Bato, Vincent Merritt, Michael Merritt; great-grandchildren, Michael Wodahl, Abigail Wodahl, Logan R. Meyers, Vallery A. Merritt, Jade A. Merritt, Stella A. Merritt, Liana M. Merritt, Leslie M. Hernandez, Layton J. Bato, Chloe T. Bato, Antonella H. Bato, Liam A. Bato, Liliana A. Vega, Felecita I. Leonardo, Elizabeth J. Leonardo, Angelica M. Leonardo, Victorino E. Leonardo Jr and her brother, Jack Edward Critchlow Jr.
