Dear Jackie and Larry:

My heart reaches out to you, and you will continue to be in my thoughts. Margaret took such care of Uncle Benson, as Jackie took care of both of them. We were fortunate to have the loving, hard-working parents we had.

Jackie, so many memories. It's difficult to narrow it down to just a few but I will try. I always remember when I would come over(that 100 feet or so from your house to mine) and would always be greeted by the smell of her delicious food. Of course, when she would grab her paper and pencil to come play that word game on TV at 1 o'clock each day. I used to call her when I was working on my lunch hour and she would always say, "Jackie's not here." And I would always say, I know. I called to talk to you." Then we would chat a while. And it will always be itched in my memory when we were flooded and were hungry and wet and cold and your daddy came and picked us up at the shelter we had been bussed to and your mother fed us some of her delicious food and washed our wet dirty clothes and provided clean ones to change into and let us spend the night. Words cannot express what all of it meant to us. I feel your pain and sadness my lifelong friend. I am praying for you and family each day. I love you, Sherralind
