Marcus A. Stephens

Marcus Arrio Stephens, received the highest honor on July 28, 2021, when he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on October 25, 1945 in Alexandria, Louisiana to parents Cleo Dell and Benjamin Stephens. Marcus received his high school diploma from Peabody High School in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Marcus had several passions which included, cooking, zydeco dancing, casinos, lottery tickets and most of all his family and friends. Marcus love for cooking brought him closer to his family and friends. If anybody had special saying's it was Marcus. I never heard, "Let Me Go See What's on the Lim for the Lizard", "That Dog Ain't Going to Hunt," Turn Right and Keep Straight," as Marcus would say every day before going out to start his day at work. Marcus worked for several companies, M.D Anderson, Glazer Foods, Davis Security, Loomis Fargo and Brookside Funeral Home.

Marcus leaves behind two daughters, Tia and Marcell, one granddaughter, three great grandchildren and a host of other family members and bonus family members that will forever remember him.

The family receive visitors on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 10am to 10:55am, at New Beginning Church Super Natural, 10921 Foy Ln. The funeral service will follow starting at 11am to 1pm.
