Our beloved sister, stepmom, aunt, grandma was born in Gonzales County, near Seguin and lived on the earth 87 years. Mae loved children and frequently gave delicious tea cakes to the kids on her street.
They loved Miss “Rose”, sometimes they referred to her as being “sugar free” due to a health issue. She obtained a GED, attended classes to become a Nurse’s Aide, was employed as a cashier, later she retired as a plant operator for HISD.
She was married several decades to Mr. Hardis Dean Rhodes, Sr. and during her lifetime, generosity was her virtue as she helped in various ways, numerous people. You are in our hearts, we love you.
A graveside service for Mae will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
