Madeline L LaCorte Ferreri

MADELINE LACORTE FERRERI, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2013 in the loving arms of God surrounded by her family. She was born on December 8, 1927 in Houston, Texas.

Predeceased by her father Anthony LaCorte, mother Sarah Anzalone LaCorte, sister Mae La Porte Tilotta and husband Sam, and son-in-law Roger Lee Sherman.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joseph Ferreri; daughter Marilyn Sherman; daughter Sara Waguespack and husband Lloyd; daughter Vicki Childress and husband Mark; grandchildren Stephen Joel Sherman, Lori Kern and husband Chris, Michael Bradley Sherman and wife Daisie, Kelly Waguespack, and great-grandson Drake Joseph Lee Sherman.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, baking homemade bread and Italian cookies, and playing slot machines. Madeline was also a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Confraternity of St. Joseph and a current member of the Sugar Canes of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Pallbearers are Stephen Joel Sherman, Michael Bradley Sherman, Christopher Scott Kern, David Garrett Brueggen, and Robert Tilotta.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Earthman Hunter’s Creek Chapel, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, Friday August 23, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 705 St. Theresa Boulevard, Sugar Land, Texas 77498 with Rev. Jose Tharayil presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
