Mackie, as he was affectionately known, had a love for carpentry/construction work. He could do it all: tear down a house, rebuild it, paint it, install fixtures and do any and all work required. For the last twelve years, Mack lived in Victoria, Texas where he worked and lived on the property of the late Mr. De Edward Greer, whom Mackie looked up to like a father. The Greer family; Robert, Laurie (Alex), Mark and Robert thought of and treated Mack as a member of their family. The family had the utmost love and respect for him as he did for them. They shared a closeness that you rarely find between employee and employer.
Mack confessed his love for God at an early age and often could be found thanking God for blessing him with children and grandchildren, the love of his life! On July 31, 2020, Mackie Moore quietly departed this life.
Mackie was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Laura Lee, three siblings; Daisy, Mary Ann and Johnny Don Lee.
He leaves to cherish his memory three loving sons, Mackie Moore Jr., Iden Moore and Issac Moore (Zita Mitchell), one loving and devoted daughter; Mandy Lovings-Williams (Damiyan), two step-children; India Mitchell and Iran Mitchell, four sisters; Rosie Pipkins (Larry), Patricia Dial, Lisha Ester and Eloise Dial, four brothers; David McKenzie, Ector Lee, Charles Dial and Henry Buckley (Linda), two special godsons whom he raised; Jimmal Battiste (Kathy) and Jarrett Davis, four grandchildren; Marquise Moore, Zyon Williams, Jaylen Williams and Carter Williams, one dear and special friend; Kimberly Lewis along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
