Mable Lee Riley, 63, of Alexandria, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, in Houston, Texas.
Mable was born in Pineville, Louisiana to Mable Smith and Joe Lewis on December 13, 1959. She married Herman Riley on November 12, 1982 in Houston, Texas.
From an early age, Mable developed a love for Bible truths so much that she wanted to share these truths with whomever she met. On July 9, 1983, she made a dedication to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. This led to her serving as a regular pioneer for over 30 years, devoting countless hours in helping others to come to know and love Jehovah God. She aided over 10 people into the truth.
Mable loved being a servant of Jehovah. She was faithful to the end. She loved being in the full-time service helping people to learn and serve Jehovah. She never wavered, no matter the obstacles and health issues she steadfastly endured in her last years.
Mable is preceded in death by her parents, Mable Smith, Joe Lewis, and her brother, Albert Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Herman Riley; step-daughter Wendy Riley; 3 grandchildren; sister Shirley Harris (late James); sister Ada Gonzales (Cecil); brother Robert Franklin (Vera); brother Vernon Smith (late Ethell); brother Joe Smith (Merilyn); and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends who all will miss her greatly.
For the many prayers and expressions of kindness and concern, we the family wish to express our profound appreciation for the love and support during Mable’s illness and in our time of bereavement. Your thoughtfulness has been a source of strength to us in many ways.
