Ma Leonor Castano Garza

Ma Leonor Castano Garza of Houston, Texas passed away on January 22, 2015. Leonor was beloved by her family and will always be remembered for her giving spirit. She was a devout Catholic and put her faith in the forefront of her life. Her family will always look to her as a true example of perseverance. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Maria de los Angeles & husband Tracy, son Filemon and wife Ines, grandchildren Eduardo Alexis and Bianca Natali. She also leaves behind her sisters Ma Elena C. Benavides, Ma Luisa C. Gutierrez, Judith C. Flores, and Aurora Maria C. Gonzalez as well as numerous nieces and nephews and countless other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Dominic’s Village, St. Vincent de Paul, the American Lung Assoc. or the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Leonor’s name. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27 from 5-9 PM at Forest Park Lawndale with a rosary service at 7 PM and a Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 28 at 10 AM at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church located at 6800 Buffalo Speedway. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
