Lynn Ray Hill

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Fern Hill; sisters, Joyce Cherry, Elva Flaugher, Ethel Richardson, and Marie Franklin; brothers, Freddie Hill and Marvin Hill; daughter Debra Hill; grandsons, Scotty Landers and Ben Landers; and great granddaughter, Debra Landers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gwendolyn Hill; son, Ray Hill and wife Wanda; daughter, Bonnie Hill; grandchildren, Amanda Wallace and husband Eli Wallace, Ross Hill, Rex Hill and wife Lauren Hill, and John Landers; great grandchildren; Walker Wallace, Wyatt Wallace, Weston Wallace, Junior Landers, and Dane Hill.

Lynn enjoyed watching sports, especially the Houston Astros. He was a member of the Texas Range Riders, a drill team on horseback. Lynn was an outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting with his children, and spending time at his cattle ranch in East Texas. He liked to go to the casinos and gamble. Above all, Lynn’s true passion was his family. He enjoyed having his entire family gather during the holidays and weekends. He will be remembered as a true family man.

A visitation for Lynn will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Monday, July 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
