Lynda R. Midkiff

Lynda Ratliff Midkiff, beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2020 at the age of 73. She was born on January 6, 1947, to Lynn and Ruth Ratliff in Madisonville, TX. After graduation from Madisonville High School, she attended Sam Houston State Teachers College. She then devoted her life to caring for her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Lynn Ratliff, and her sister Susan Wells. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Foy Preston Midkiff, son Charles (Trey) Bedinger, III, daughter, Laura Midkiff Barrett, daughter, Callie Midkiff Scott, son in law Vaughan Scott, and mother, Ruth Ratliff. The greatest joy of her life was being an adoring Nana to Jackson Scott, Sophia Scott, and Brynna Barrett. She deeply loved her family and close friends. The family would like to thank Leticia Mora for her dedication and care over the years and also Peris and Paul Mathangani and the staff at Abba Meadows who cared for her during her time in hospice. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. Interment will follow at Madisonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Lynda to Abba Meadows, 2430 Tourney Lane, Katy, TX 77943 or a charity of your choice.
