Mrs. Jones was the mother of six wonderful children, who she raised as a single parent. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grand children dearly. Mrs. Jones enjoyed being relaxed, watching her novelas and enjoying her smokes. She loved to spend time with her family and loved to make people smile and laugh. Mrs. Jones was the original OG Rican to arrive in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, changing and touching, so many lives. She worked for most of her life in the food industry, enjoying her job as a manager. She loved collecting frogs and Betty Boop. Mrs. Jones had a loving and wonderful spirit that reached out and would do anything for anyone in need. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband Willie Jones, her parents, Dominga and Jose Roman, brothers Jesse Roman, Victor Rios and George Velez, sister Inez Serrano, grandkids JR, Big Corie (CAD) Courtney and nephew Ivan, her grand dog Tiny Rios and a few other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her children Lydia (Derick), Lucy, Jose (Bobbie), Nate, Rosa, and Gloria, her grandchildren Shalandra (Amaya), JR’s kids (Mariah and Mekhi), Kajuana (Corie), Craig, Dasia (Jerald)(Xavier, Tahj, Kyan) Raquel (Troy)(Tyler, Brayden, Kaysen) Chandra, Darrius (Kellie, Kailani), Kyle, Kriston, Kristina (Alistair, Aleenah), Marquis (Natalie)(Mackenzie, Malaya), Kaitlyn, Chase, Dominic, and many other family and friends.
