Lurah Belle (Sterling) Lambright was born in Gloster, Mississippi on Saturday, March 27, 1920, to parents Thomas and Maude Sterling. She passed away in Katy, Texas on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at the age of 94.
A longtime resident of the Spring Branch area, Lurah was preceded in death by her husband, Houston attorney, Walter L. Lambright, in 1988. She is survived by her sons, Don, Tom and George Lambright; grandchildren, Tim, Eric, Nathan, Casey, Rachel and Miranda; and by great grandchildren, Tyler, Dax, Logan, Tate, Ethan and Paxton.
A celebration of Lurah's life began at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, with interment following at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine, also in Houston.
