Born on March 7, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, Luis moved to Houston with his family in 1976 and called it home for the rest of his life. He was the beloved son of Luis Pastrano Sr. and the late Lidia Pastrano, a proud father to his son Nicholas Pastrano, and a loving brother to Martin Pastrano.
In his younger years, Luis made his mark in Houston’s tattoo scene by owning and managing several tattoo shops. Though he didn’t do any tattooing himself, he was known for his skilled hand at piercings and his sharp eye for business. His shops became local favorites—not just for the art, but for the atmosphere he helped create. People came in for the ink but stayed for the stories, the laughter, and the personality that only Luis could bring.
Luis worked as an Oil Pipe Level 2 Inspector and held certification in Magnetic Particle Testing. Known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft, he took pride in his work and always gave his best.
But more than anything, Luis will be remembered for his vibrant personality. He was the life of the party—always cracking jokes, being silly, and lifting the spirits of everyone around him. His sense of humor and easygoing nature made him loved by all, and his ability to bring laughter into any room was truly a gift.
Luis also had a true passion for music. He loved playing the guitar and could often be found with one in his hands, creating melodies that reflected his soul. Whether he was jamming out to his favorite tunes or sharing a laugh with family and friends, he made everyday moments feel exciting and special.
Luis was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Eternity Pastrano; mother, Lidia Pastrano; maternal grandmother, Maria Medrano; maternal grandfather, Santiago Medrano; paternal grandfather, Feliciano Pastrano; and paternal grandmother, Felipa Pastrano.
