Luis "Louie" Gonzalez

Luis was the youngest of six and grew up surrounded by his five siblings and many cousins. He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. Growing up, he enjoyed wearing the latest trends in clothing and shoes. Luis enjoyed spending time with his family and taking silly pictures with his nieces and nephews. He loved to play and watch basketball. He also enjoyed attending Houston Rockets basketball games. As he got older, he enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Other of his favorite past times were watching movies with his parents and eating good food. He enjoyed attending family barbecues, playing dominoes, and playing lotería.

He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Roberto Gonzalez Jr.

Luis was survived by his parents, Roberto Sr. and Ramona Gonzalez, and his siblings, Esmeralda Golden, Aime Kamaie, Emma Tovar, and Edward Gonzalez.

Luis will be truly missed, and he will live forever in our hearts.

A visitation for Louie will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 31, 2024 at 9:00 AM. A burial committal will occur Friday, May 31, 2024 at Brookside Memorial Park.
