Lucius Blair, Jr., was born on October 2, 1947 in Houston, Texas to the late Lucius Sr. and Essie Mae Blair. He attended Jack Yates High School and the University of Tulsa. He was retired from the Houston Independent School District. He was a devoted father, grandfather and husband. Lucius was an avid gardener and skilled with livestock. Lucius Blair Jr., age 70, departed this life unexpectedly on December 23, 2018. Lucius is survived by his spouse, Shirley Rushing, children Shelleye Pryor (Terence) and Claudia Scott (Antonio). His grandchildren Madison, Amber, Edward, Kiara, Amanda and Antonio Jr. His surviving siblings are Thelma Betts, Florella Crodupt, and Ida Tyler (Wilbert) and a host of nieces and nephews. Lucius was preceded in death by his parents Lucius Sr. and Essie Mae Blair, brothers Henry and David Blair, and sister Carrie Champion.
