Lucille Broussard joined her heavenly Father on July 23, 2012 in Houston, TX, at the age of ninety. She was born February 16, 1922, in rural Louisiana near Abbeville. She was the third of six children of Clophe and Oniele Broussard, and the eldest daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two older brothers and their wives, Alphe (Kitty) and Dudley (Tye); her brother-in-law Jake Warr and her sister-in-law, Lucille Broussard. She is survived by her sisters, Bea James (Hank) and Lula Warr and her brother, P.D. Broussard. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews in Texas and Louisiana. They were all truly the loves of her life. You would have a difficult time determining who was the "apple of her eye" - she loved and adored every one of them, and was so proud of all their accomplishments. Lucille was a veteran of World War II as a member of the Women's Army Corps. She was an employee of Southwestern Bell (later AT&T) for thirty years. She was proud to be Cajun French, and equally proud to be a Texan. She was a true Astros fan. She will be remembered for so many things - her generosity, her dislike of having her picture taken, her compassion as a caretaker for her mother, her devotion to her family. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 6-8 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 11 am at the Memorial Mission Mausoleum at Forest Park Westheimer.
