Louise Rose Musachia

Louise Rose Musachia was called home on February 16, 2024. Louise was born October 5, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Joseph Anthony Velotta and Sarah Marie Testa Velotta (Pizzitola). Louise married Joseph Frank Musachia on January 9, 1949. Though Louise was an only child, she and Joe had six children together and raised them in the Houston neighborhood, Garden Villas.

Louise is survived by daughter Jeanette Musachia Hurley, (Duane), John Michael Musachia, Sara Marie Musachia Hague, (James ), Joseph Frank Musachia, Jr., and Thomas Anthony Musachia (Danica). Numerous grand children, great grandchildren and even a few great-great grandchildren! She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, son Stephen Louis Musachia, grandson Michael A. Cox.

Louise was a devout Catholic and longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church. She was active in the Catholic Daughter's, Rosary Club and more. She enjoyed her days spent at the Garden Club with friends and great luncheons. Louise loved to cook and have her family around for dinners and always a great dessert! It has been said that they are having a feast in Heaven now that the greatest cook ever has arrived!

She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who came through her door. Everyone was welcome into her home and she made even strangers feel like family. They say it takes a village to raise a child, Louise raised the village! She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. The family takes comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with the love of her life, Paw Paw Joe.

Services will be held as follows:

Visitation and Rosary - Thursday, 2/29/2024 from 5:00-9:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale. Mass will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Friday, 3/1/2024 at 11:00 am returning to Forest Park Lawndale for burial .

All are invited to join the family for lunch and fellowship at Mandola's at 4105 Leeland following the services.
