Louise Martino, 95, of Houston, passed away October 22, 2016. She was born in Texas on January 5, 1921 to Frank and Louise Bertha Selensky; grew up in Hempstead on a ranch and in Houston; attended Lamar High School when it first opened from 1936-1939. Louise Married Frank Martino on August 13, 1940. She loved dancing as a girl and young woman, and teaching dance at Poe Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Frank, Jr. (Butch) in 1960 at age 17, her father, mother and husband, Frank. Louise is not survived by any immediate family, but leaves behind many friends and neighbors who loved her dearly. She lived life on her terms and died in her home, never seeing a doctor, never taking any medication, never having home help until the very end.
