Louis Edsel Gray was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late William A. Gray and Marilyn R. E. Gray-Taylor, on September 26, 1957. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Rev. William Reynolds and his grandmother Bessie Reynolds. In 1975, Louis graduated from Withrow High School where he participated in Drama classes and performed in school plays and sung solos. One song he performed was “By The Time I Get To Phoneix”, which got news coverage. He attended Wright State University and studied Vocal and Choral music. He was a member of the 1st Black Students organization and he was Vice President of “Umoja Weus”. In 1978 he attended Gulf Coast Bible College and studied Theology and Greek. He was the former associate pastor of the Spring Branch Church of God (Anderson, Indiana). He leaves to cherish in his memory his loving wife Georgia Marie Gray (Rosey), his son Justin Andrew Gray and his daughter Simone Imani Gray. His sisters Marsha Gray-Payne, Robin Moore, Sharon Gray (deceased) and Pamela Blassingame. His brothers William Gray Jr., Eric Gray and Lewis Gray. His Grandchildren Jordyn Gray, Jai Gray, Esai Nelons, Onyx Gray and Freya Gray. Louis also leaves behind many other dear, extended family members and friends.
