Lulu was born on December 7, 1995 in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Navasota, Texas, where she touched the lives of everyone she met. There she attended school and loved to interact with her teachers and classmates, especially her best friend Stella. She would also be seen going down the halls in her wheelchair giving the other students high-fives and dancing in the gym during PE with her friend Esmer. She was a ray of sunshine everywhere she went including visits to Texas Children’s and St. Lukes Hospitals in Houston, where she was a Superstar. From the cleaning crews to the heads of departments, Lulu was loved by all. Whether it was at the hospital or in church on Sunday morning, Lulu would greet everyone with a smile and would give a handshake, hug or high-fives.
Lulu loved to play, dance, sing and praise The Lord. She also enjoyed picking on her brothers, Bobby and Reuben. Not one day of her life, went by without someone being blessed by her presence.
Lulu was preceded by her grandfather, David Morado Sr., Uncles Anthony and Marco Morado and Cousin Diego Barrera.
She is survived by her Mother and Stepfather, Laura and Andrew Maupin, Brothers Robert Manuel and Reuben Michael Reyes, Grandparents Bertha Morado, Consuelo Reyes, and EJ and Leona Maupin, as well as many other beloved family and friends.
Lulu will be missed dearly, but we find comfort in knowing that she’s dancing on the streets of Gold in Heaven. She finished her race.
There will be a viewing on Monday, October 23, from 3 PM to 7 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060, with a celebration of Lulu’s life from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The funeral service will be at the same location on Tuesday, October 24 at 2 PM.
