Lorenz Louis Schwartz

Lorenz joined the Army in October of 1942 and after being honorably discharged in March of 1946 he went on to marry Nellie Greve at Zion Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas on November 7, 1952. He worked at Austin Steel Company in Houston, Texas and was a member at Fairfield Baptist Church and AARP.

Lorenz is preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Mary Schwartz, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Nellie Schwartz; daughter Elsie Turner and husband James; sons Lorenz W. Schwartz and wife Tina, and Howard W. Schwartz; granddaughter Michelle Wood and husband John; grandson Travis Bowles; and great-granddaughters Mackenzie Wood, and Caroline Wood.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow the graveside service at Fairfield Baptist Church, 27240 Highway 290, Cypress, Texas, 77433.
