Lonnie L Ross

Lonnie Ross was born on September 5, 1950, in Rosenburg, Texas, to the loving parents of Jesse D., Sr., and Minnie Ella Ross. He is the fourth of six siblings, Bobbie Taft, Anne Ross, Earl L. Ross, Jesse D., Jr., and Matthew Ross.

Lonnie was a loving husband to Myrtle Lois Ross, and a dedicated father to Benita (Calvin), Derrick, and Gerald. He adored his grandchildren, Cameron, Courtney, and Dylan; and his great-grandchildren, Skylar and Mason. He was family-oriented and loved his family dearly.

He graduated from Carverdale High School within the Cy-Fair Independent School District and went on to study at Prairie View University.

At an early age, he joined Greater Macedonia Baptist Church. He was an active member through the years and served as a church Trustee.

Lonnie is loved by many and will truly be missed. His parents Jesse D., Sr. and Minnie Ella Ross; his youngest son, Gerald Ross; and two brothers, Jessie D., Jr., and Earl Lee Ross; preceded him in death.

A Visitation for Lonnie L Ross will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, 5510 W Sam Houston Pkwy N, Houston, TX 77041. The Funeral Service will start at 11:00 AM. the burial will be at Paradise Cemetery, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088.
