Lois Marie Johnson

Lois Marie Johnson was born March 31, 1933 in Trinity TX to Floyd and Charles Roberta Hubbard. She was the oldest of five siblings. “Loisy,” as she was affectionately called by her family attended school in Houston, graduating from Phyllis Wheatley High School at age 16. She also attended Texas Southern University. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church since 1965. In 1972 she married Joe B. Johnson, Sr. and a lifelong legacy of love began. Loisy loved her family, fishing and an occasional trip to the casino. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren in the afternoons. On Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years she made sure she called her nieces and nephews to wish them well and talk a little “noise” about not hearing from you sooner. Early Tuesday morning on February 5, 2019 Loisy departed this earthly life at Houston Hospice. She was precede in death by her parents Floyd Hubbard and Charles Roberta Ferguson, sisters; Annie L. McFadden, Ella F. Owens, brother; Joe L. Hubbard, and son Joe B. Johnson, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory; husband Joe B. Johnson, Sr., sons Tavalais Johnson (Frankie), Mike Johnson, daughters Sheila Johnson, Penny Johnson, sisters Marian C. Womack, Arthur M. Jackson, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
