Lisa was born to Maria Del Rosario and Francisco Hernandez, on May 20, 1970, in Salinas, California. She graduated from Milby High School in 1989 and received an Associate’s Degree of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies, with Honors, from the Houston Community College in 2022. She was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
She is survived by: Her mother and step-father, Maria Del Rosario and Larry Venegas, sister, Toni Elizabeth Venegas, and brother, Francisco Hernandez Jr., his wife Diana, their children Victoria Moreno, Janelle Hernandez, Francisco Hernandez III, Diangelo Hernandez, her grand-nephews Damazo Tello, Marcus Tunchez, Izaiah Tello, Angel Hernadez, and her grand-niece Vivianna Tunchez. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her sisters Janie Hernandez, Delilah Hernandez, and brother, Henry Hernandez.
She was preceded in death by her father Fransisco Hernandez.
Lisa worked as a Program Coordinator at MD Anderson for 19 years and was a small business owner. She enjoyed acting, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and living life to the fullest. Lisa was truly one in a million, she would bring light to the darkest times with her positive words. Her smile lit up every room, and she left a lasting impression on anyone she came across, whether it was for a long period of time or just a few minutes. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed.
A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30 from 5-9 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM, and her Celebration of Life services will be on Thursday, August 31 at 12 PM.
