Linnie Mae Dougherty, 95, passed away on December 13, 2022 in Houston, Texas.
She was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on April 9, 1927 to Benjamin and Mamie Beard.
She is preceded in death by her husband Knight Dougherty and son Ray Dougherty. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Schmidt, son-in-law Robbie Schmidt, and granddaughter Kristin Duplantis.
Affectionately known as “Grancie” she was a loving mother and grandmother who was beloved by her family and friends.
A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday December 21, 2022 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on 6900 Lawndale Houston, Texas 7723. A graveside service will be held on Thursday December 22, 2022 at 3:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery 6900 Lawndale Houston, Texas 77023.
