Lindsey was passionate about life, fiercely devoted to her family and friends, loved art and fashion, dance-and Star Wars. Everyone who knew her, knew the delightful way she screamed when confronted by bugs, and her incredible infectious laughter. From early childhood Lindsey had a very real faith in Jesus Christ. She would share that faith with family and friends, and in serving orphans and middle school girls. Although, like many young adults, she got caught up in things that seemed to contradict, Lindsey never ceased believing and trusting Jesus.
Lindsey is greatly loved, and deeply missed, by her family united together through adoption. She is survived by her father and mother, Dennis and Dawn Morris; her brothers, Zachary, Kerry and Colin Morris; and her sister, Juliana Morris; as well as by her birthmother, RosaLee West-Teague; and her brothers, Kevin Tison West, Jeffrey Robert Flowers, Jr., and David Benjamin Teague.
The family would like to share a verse we found in Lindsey’s Bible with the comment written next to it, “one of the best verses!”
“Count it all joy, my brothers when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4
We mourn Lindsey greatly, but find incredible solace in all of the promises God gives to those who love Jesus Christ. Lindsey is home now.
The memorial service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 16th of July, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the grand foyer.
Lindsey loved children, and supported a child in need for many years. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial contributions in her name be directed to Compassion International, www.compassion.com.
