Linda Estela Rivera

With profound sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother Linda Estela Rivera, on Sunday morning, September 12, 2021. Born March 23, 1956. Estela was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many.

Born in El Salvador. Estela emigrated to Houston,Tx at a very young age in search of a better life. She worked very hard to accomplish everything she set her mind to. Our mother was such a strong independent woman which we looked up to as our role-model. Also loved celebrating every milestone whether big or small. Loved spending time with the family and enjoyed cooking BIG feast on special occasions, b-days and especially the holidays where everyone was welcome to come. Till her last days on earth she invited closest family and friends to gather for what she called a BIG CELEBRATION of life where she instructed everyone that she didn't want to see any sadness or crying. Just wanted joy, happiness and laughters with a great dinner. Grateful that we were able to make her wish come true coming from hospital to continue with home hospice until the good Lord called upon her where she was surrounded by all her loved ones.

Estela is survived by four daughters, Wendy and husband Rudy Martinez: Yesenia and fiance Omar Flores : Maria and husband Luis Martinez: Jennifer and fiance Jose Daniel Reyes. Grandchildren Marie , Jonathan, Issac, Jessie , Rudy Jr. Jazlynn and Adrian. Great grandchild Elijah. Two sister's Melida Benitez and Griselda Pineda and numerous nephews and nieces and extended family.

The daughters would like to invite family and friends to a celebration of the life of their mother L. Estela.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo - Broadway, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087. A rosary will occur Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087. A present body funeral mass will occur Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 Am at Queen Of Peace Catholic Church, 3011 Telephone Rd, Houston, TX 77023. A graveside service will occur Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023.

On behalf of the Herrera daughters we would like to thank all our family and friends for all the prayers, support, text and phone calls through these difficulty moments we are experiencing. We greatly appreciate every single one of you all. Also want to thank God for giving us a loving and caring mother who always strived to give us the best of the best and showed us to be strong woman. She will forever live in our hearts and we will continue her legacy to be strong and never give up. Thank you all once again and God bless us all 🙏❤
