Linda Ruth Parr, 70, of New Caney, went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2019. She was born to parents John and Edna Collins in Freestone, County on January 20, 1949.

Linda was a high school graduate of Mac Arthur High School. Through out her life she worked as a hair dresser, machinist, wall paper hanger and a warehouse manager. Linda had a true passion for nature, she loved spending time out doors with her family.

Linda was survived by her children, Bryan Bruce, Christopher Thomas, Shawn Thomas, and Daniel Johanson; grandchildren, Autumn Thomas, Devon Bruce, Brendon Bruce, Emma Thomas, Brittney Groves, Tyler Frederick, Dannon Johanson, Scarlett Johanson; and sisters, Diane Brown and Carol Nipper.

The family will receive extended family and friends in the Family Chapel for Visitation at Brookside Funeral Home located at 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, TX 77039 on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 10:30am at Brookside Memorial Park in the Chapel of Chimes with a burial to immediately follow.
