Linda Carolyn Holliday

Linda Carolyn Hill Holliday, 78, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2015 at Eagles Trace Skilled Nursing Center in Houston Texas.Carolyn's passing was preceded by her mother and father Dr. and Mrs. Austin E. Hill as well as her older sister Martha Lampkin. Carolyn left behind her husband of 59 years, Roy Holliday of Houston, TX and her son Scott Holliday of Sugar Land, TX as well as three grandchildren Colby Holliday and his wife Cynthia of San Francisco, CA. Lauren Holliday and Austin Holliday of Sugar Land, TX. She is also survived by her younger brother Lowell Hill and his wife Andrea of Plano, TX. Carolyn attended SMU in Dallas, TX and received her degree in education from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. She then taught fourth grade in Hamshire, TX and Houston, TX.She was a Delta Delta Delta sorority member at SMU. She was a loving housewife and wonderful cook, which was one of her passions. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.A memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
