She was born on August 23rd, 1962, in Dallas, Texas and raised in a loving home by her parents Bonnie and Bill Colhour. She attended Stratford High School. She married Steve Mauterstock in Houston, Texas on November 7th, 1986 where they raised 3 children Kendall, Brandon, and Christian.
Linda was preceded in death by her father Bill Colhour; and son Kendall Mauterstock, and friend whom she considered a sister Debbie Wilson. She is survived by her mother Bonnie Colhour; sons, Brandon Mauterstock and Christian Mauterstock; sisters, Kathy Aven, Karen Theunissen, Janet Felton, and Ruby Hickey; Daughter-in-law Jenny Mauterstock; and grandchildren, Kaylee Mauterstock and Quinn Mauterstock.
She worked with her father at Southwest Galvanizing out of high school, and eventually went on to own Brookshire Hardware, in Brookshire, Texas. Linda was full of life and displayed it every day, she loved raising her children, driving fast, and working out at the Memorial Athletic Club.
Serving as pallbearers are Steve Mauterstock, Christian Mauterstock, Brandon Mauterstock, Jordan Felton, Eric Felton, Chad Cavanaugh, Trey Bunde, and Frank Fojtik.
A life well celebrated service for Linda will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079, followed by a committal service at 12:00 PM.
