Lily Locke was born April 5, 1925 in Milford, Co., Armagh, N. Ireland to John and Charlotte Huston and entered Heaven September 19, 2013 in Houston, Tx, reunited with her beloved husband Robert Allen Locke, infant Daughter, Sandra Jean and a host of family and friends.
A British war bride, Mrs. Locke met her Texas born husband at a church sponsored dance in Milford during WWII and married in 1945. After the war, she joined Bob in Houston to live and raise their four daughters. Mrs. Locke is survived by her sister Agnes Sleator and her husband, Noel, Armagh, N. Ireland; her loving daughters: Lily and Roy Cossé, Patsy Jaster, Linda Culver and Robin and Mitchel Sunday; her beloved grandchildren: Valerie and Denny Lacy, Drew Cossé, Michael and Cheri Jaster; and her most precious great-grandchildren: Meredith Lacy, Gracie and Zachary Jaster. Mrs. Locke is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews in Texas and Great Britain.
Visitation will be at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Rd., Houston, TX on Sunday, September 22, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Graveside services at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas on Monday, September 23, at 11:00am.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, grandsons and nephews: Roy Cossé, Drew Cossé, Michael Jaster, Denny Lacy, Jimmie Locke and Lily Cossé. Honorary Pallbearers are son-in-law, Mitchel Sunday of Magnolia, Texas and nephew, Stephen Black of Armagh, N. Ireland.
