Lillian Russell Roth

Lillian Russell Roth, age 91, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 in Houston, TX. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Ken, three brothers and one sister. Lillian is survived by her precious daughter, Debi Screnci and her dear husband, John; grandchildren: Kevin Wackerly and wife Kerry, Samantha Emmert and husband James; special great grandchildren: Nick and Debi Emmert, Rylie and Sydney Wackerly, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, many nieces and one special nephew. Lillian grew up in to Texarkana and was educated in the Texas school system. She gave her life to Christ in the First Methodist Church in downtown Texarkana. In 1944, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Roth, who was stationed at the Red River Arsenal. She worked for the Texarkana Gazette. After the end of World War II, Ken and Lillian made Houston their home base. Lillian loved God, her family and friends. Golf, bridge and Bible studies were her hobbies. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Earthman Resthaven . Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate Lillian’s life will be 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 16th at Klein United Methodist Church 5920 FM 2920 Rd. Spring, TX 77388.
