Lilia was born to Domingo and Elvira Garcia, March 7, 1926, in Cadereyta Jimenez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She married Jose W. De la Fuente on November 5, 1950, and immigrated to the United States in July 1954. Together they raised their three children in Houston, Texas.
Lilia is survived by her children, Rosalinda De la Fuente-Sanchez, Lilia De la Fuente, Antonio De la Fuente and grandson, Jose R. Perez, Jr. She also leaves to cherish her memory by many loving nieces, nephews, god children and very good friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jose W De la Fuente and her daughter Maria Lucia De la Fuente.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:30 am on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan-of-Arc Drive, Houston, TX 77024. Burial services to follow at Forrest Park East Cemetery at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX. The family would like to thank Mrs. Guadalupe Gonzalez for her loving help and support in our mother’s final days.
